• Mobile homes older than 1976 are not eligible.
• Where practical, homes should be insulated to current standards to meet heat-load sizing and balance point requirements.

-Submit completed copies of the Low-Income Ductless Heat Pump Program Application, GHPUD Low-Income Ductless Heat Pump Program Statement of Income, and all supporting income documentation for all members of household. All documents must be completed in full in order to be reviewed and considered for program eligibility. Tenants must have landlord/property owner approval to be considered, and landlord must also submit a completed application.

• The primary source of heat in your home must be an electric forced-air furnace or an existing heat pump. Dual fuel systems are not eligible.• Rebate applies only to existing heat pumps. New heat pumps and ductless heat pumps are not eligible for Smart Thermostat rebate.
• Applications must be received within 60 days of purchase.
• Limit one Smart Thermostat replacement per 5 year period. Homes with two separate heat pump/furnaces can qualify

Eligibility
• Existing single family or manufactured home located within GHPUD's service area.• Home primarily uses electric heat. GHPUD shall verify weather-related electric heating use.
• Rebate for windows is only available when replacing single pane any frame windows or double pane with metal frame only.
• Increasing window size is not allowed unless when required by building code.
• Pre-approval of the project is required, including a preliminary inspection of the home by a GHPUD energy advisor.
• New construction projects, areas required by building code to insulate, and unheated areas are not eligible.
• Participant is authorized to make home improvements.

• Windows installed must have an NFRC rated U-Value of 0.30 or lower.• Sliding glass doors installed must have an NFRC rated U-Value of 0.35 or lower.

• Participant authorizes Grays Harbor PUD to conduct quality inspections to ensure program specifications are followed.
• Installation must be completed within 60 days of notice to proceed.
Steps to Participate
1. Confirm eligibility for your program.2. Schedule a Free Home Energy audit with the Grays Harbor PUD Energy Services Dept. by calling 360-538-6383.
3. Find approved contractors and get project cost estimates; we suggest getting at least 3 quotes.
4. Complete your project’s rebate application and submit along with quotes to GHPUD for pre-authorization.
5. After GHPUD approves your project, have your contractor proceed with your installation.
6. Once installation is complete, contact GHPUD to schedule the final inspection.
7. Submit all required project documentation to GHPUD.
8. GHPUD will authorize rebate payment upon final approval.

Is a Heat Pump Water Heater Right for You?Heat pump water heaters pull warmth from the air and transfer the heat into the water stored in the tank. Hot water is ready to use while cool, dry air is vented out. Consider this if the unit is being installed inside the home. A more ideal location is a garage, basement, or other unconditioned space.
Most units require space around the water heater to allow effective air flow, but each manufacturer will have specific minimum requirements so please refer to manufacturer instructions.
Heat pump water heaters have compressors and fans that run three to four hours each day with noise levels similar to that of a microwave.
Heat pump water heaters have a filter that prevents dirt and dust from accumulating in the unit. To ensure efficient operation, thus the unit’s filter must be accessible for routine cleaning.
Eligibility
• Unitary Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) Rebates are available for existing single-family, manufactured homes and multifamily homes. They are not available for new construction.• Split-System Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) Rebates are available for new and existing single-family, manufactured homes and multifamily homes.
• The new HPWH must be listed on the BPA Qualified Heat Pump Water Heater list.
• Only one rebate per residence will be paid within a 13 year period.

3. Dealer will provide a NEEM Certificate of Compliance.
4. Complete an GHPUD NEEM Home Rebate Application from and submit the NEEM Certificate of Compliance and Certificate of Occupancy form.
5. GHPUD will conduct a quality inspection to ensure program specifications are met.
6. GHPUD will issue a rebate payment to customer upon receipt of all required documentation.
