Variable Frequency Drive for Pumps, Motors, Compressors, or Fan Systems

Variable Frequency Drive for Pumps, Motors, Compressors, or Fan Systems logo
Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) are designed to adjust motor speed to match changing needs by controlling the frequency of the electrical power that’s supplied to your motor. A VFD can provide as much as 20% savings on annual energy costs.
  • A Variable Frequency Drive provides:
  • • Reduced energy consumption
  • • Longer equipment life
  • • Reduced maintenance and repair costs
  • • VFD often save as much as 20% energy use annually

Incentive Information

Rebates are determined based on actual energy savings* up to $0.18/kWh and cannot exceed 50% of the total project cost.

*Energy savings are determined using BPA's Measurement and Verification protocols. M/V Protocol: Before efficiency measure is installed, existing electrical consumption is measured. Based on this measurement and estimated energy savings, an estimated incentive is calculated. During post-installation measurement of efficiency project, energy savings are verified, these verified energy savings will be calculated into the actual incentive for the project.
Eligibility
* Rebate application and all necessary supporting documentation will be required before approval.
* Program may require an Energy Efficiency Project Implementation Agreement to be signed to commit the funding for the project. Timeframes are determined in this agreement.
*Incentives are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may be limited based on the availability of funds.

*PRE-APPROVAL IS REQUIRED.
